About La Costa Valley

La Costa Valley is one of the older communities in Carlsbad, California. Many homes have panoramic views from elevated lots.

Many of the estates in La Costa Valley were built in the 1970s but there are newer construction projects as well. Most homes offer up to 4,805 square feet of living space. This master planned community is one of four subdivisions in the Villages of La Costa which was created by Morrow Development and Fred Arbuckle during the 1990s. The newer homes were built by companies like Greystone Homes, Shea Homes, Davidson Homes, and Standard Pacific Homes. Today there are over 1,000 homes within 11 neighborhoods.

The Mello Roos fees and Home Owners Association dues are low. There are also boat and RV parking lots available. La Costa Valley surrounds The Valley Club which offers social activities, an Olympic sized pool, spa, community clubhouse, exercise room, and tennis courts. There are 123 acres that include protected space and trails that connect each community. There is also security that patrols the area at night.

This community is served by the San Dieguito Union High School District and the Encinitas Union School District. Students attend highly rated facilities like El Camino Creek Elementary, Oak Crest Middle School, and La Costa Canyon High School. There are several private schools like Halstrom Academy, Sanderling Waldorf School, and St. Patrick’s Catholic School. There are also higher learning facilities nearby such as MiraCosta College and Palomar College.

Residents are only about three miles away from the beach and just down the street is the the Forum at Carlsbad which offers an elite collection of boutiques and restaurants. You will find merchants like The Wine Loft, Sur La Table, Chico’s, and Ashtanga Yoga Center.

The La Costa Resort & Spa is to the south and offers all of the luxuries you’ve been looking for including two Dick Wilson signature golf courses. This community is within minutes to many attractions like Legoland, Batiquitos Lagoon, Sea Life Aquarium, and South Carlsbad State Beach campgrounds.
